The Greater Cincinnati Electrical Association is a Non Profit Organization Serving Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The GCEA bonds the electrical community of Greater Cincinnati together. Providing members with an open forum for frequently asked questions.
"FREE" TABLE TOP OPPORTUNITY NOTICE: The MAY 21, 2011 contractor meeting will be open to all GCEA member companies. This meeting is traditionally the GCEA's end of the training season picnic, sponsored by Duke Energy. The GCEA board of trustees has approved a table top show, "free" for both presenters and attendees, at this well attended meeting. The "Cookout, tabletop, and meeting" are free for all divisions. Scott Lepsky, president of the Distributor Division, will be coordinating the event for the exhibitors. Look for more information in the future.

City of Blue Ash Changes Electric Permit Process and
Inspection Agencies:
City of Blue Ash has introduced is a new procedure, effective January 1, 2012, for appling for an electrical permits and inspections.
National Inspection Corp (NIC) is the new authority for jobs applied for after January 1. The IBI will still inspect jobs they already have in progress.

GCEA ANNOUNCES NEW BUSINESS CREDIT HOUR OPPORTUNITIES
The GCEA Education Committee has entered an agreement with motivational speaker, trainer and business coach,
FRANK BESEDNJAK. Frank's company offers Kentucky "CE" and Ohio OCILB state electrical license board

GCEA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS
The GCEA awards $1,000 scholarships to three eligible High School seniors who will be entering their first year of college in the fall of 2011. To be elibible the applicants must be a son, daughter, grandson, grand daughter or legal ward of an employee of a GCEA "current" member company.
Association notification of the "2012 GCEA Scholarship Applications" will be available by hard mail, fax, or e-amail on February 15, 2012. A notification will be sent to all members at that time. All applications must be completed and returned by March15, 2012 (Post Marked). You may contact the GCEA office to have an application sent to you after Feb 15.
